Mezzacorona Celebrating 110 years of Winemaking Excellance

Mezzacorona lies at the foot of the majestic Italian Dolomites.  Its vineyards with pergola trellising, characteristic of the region, run from Lake Garda to the foothills of the towering Dolomites.  A fresh breeze blows from the over 400 lakes and many glaciers of the surrounding mountains, peaking at over 9000 feet.

On June 5th, 1904, twenty vintners founded Mezzacorona.  At that time the Trentino region was still part of the Austrian Empire.  Since the beginning of the 11th century, Trentino has been part of the German-Tyrolean area even though they had always been an Italian speaking country.  The land had long been a bridge betweem the German and Latin culture.  The combination of German seriousness and reliability, together with Italian passion and creativity are rooted in Mezzacorona wines.

Thanks to a spectrum of microclimates, ranging from Mediterranean and Alpine, and profiting from over a century of winemaking experience, Mezzacorona planted varietals in the zones best tailored to the needs of each varietal, allowing them to flaunt the aromas and flavor of their terroir.

Through state-of-the-art facilities and modern winemaking techniques, Mezzacorona offers the consumer 100% single varietal wines characterized by all of the vivid elegance and crispness typical of the Italian Dolomites.
